Polly is an artist based in the Welsh Borders. Influenced by a love of wildlife and classical training, Polly’s work focuses on light and life in animals and birds. Working charcoals, Polly brings together detailed focus with fluid simplicity to capture the presence of the subject and an immediacy in the work.

website designWe wanted Polly’s website to create the quietest backdrop to allow her work to take centre stage. Influenced by the materials she worked in, we chose a soft charcoal colour, some lighter grey tones and a rich, warm, cream a nod to the surfaces Polly works with. We wanted to incorporate a tactility to the website, so we asked Polly to draw some charcoal lines, to photograph these and send them to us, we then digitalised these beautiful charcoal gestures and added them to the pages - a truly artistic touch.
